"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived"

Guest Reviews

This was a really memorable holiday. Bruny just by itself was spectacular but being able to stay at Saintys Creek in the middle of that forest so close to Cloudy Bay really made it something special. Easily the highlight for us was the animal and bird life. The sounds of exotic bird calls echoing through the forest all day long were wonderfully calming. The plant life around the cottage is also fantastic. It seemed other- worldly to us mainlanders. The cottage was perfectly sized and really well appointed. We really appreciated the higher quality cooking equipment and especially that fantastic coffee machine. Nice linen on the bed and a great shower rounded it all off. Just a great place to stay! Big thanks to Ben for being such a great host. We're definitely coming back.

3rd stay at Sainty’s and hope to come again next year and we are from South Australia. Just love this little slice of paradise, it’s like stepping back in time. Quaint, clean and comfortable. Secluded and picturesque with wild life, warm fires and stars that go on forever. Cheers Ben and Team 10/10

9 days based at Sainty’s Creek Cottage. 2 artists, painting and drawing, exploring the island and enjoying the sounds, smells and sights in this remote environment. Shy Pademelons grazing at dusk and dawn, plenty of birds, (wrens, black cockatoos, robins, flycatchers, parrots), perfect weather. Great experience.

Thank you for allowing us to spend 2 nights at your retreat. We had a great time on Bruny and sorry we did not have more time to spend there. The cottage, contents, and facilities are first class and we found it with ease from your direction. Thank you again.

Gorgeous cottage! Lovely and peaceful. Saw lots of local wildlife and can recommend the Bruny Hotel for a good feed and a cold beer. Very relaxing at the cottage. Would definitely come back!
