We live locally so thought we knew the area, what a fantastic couple of nights we had. Cottage was perfect and remote, found a couple of great beaches for swimming. Would recommend this to anyone !

Best view in the whole world. Beautiful swim last evening- Mingled with the surfers. Wonderful House, Thank You
We stayed at Sainty's cottage for two nights and absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was very comfortable with every modern appliance while still having a rustic wilderness atmosphere. The wildlife were quite happy to join us on the outside deck. We brought our bicycles and were able to cycle down to cloudy Bay beach and do the east head cloudy Bay walk. We explored adventure Bay the next day with the car. It felt like everything was at our fingertips while still being remote. I would definitely recommend this especially if you are looking for a pleasant wilderness retreat.
Best regards Else
We were fortunate enough to spend 2 nights at Cloudy Bay beach house, wow what a magical property situated high up overlooking Cloudy bay. The views are absolutely spectacular! The house is beautifully designed and has everything you could possibly need.
We then moved on to the Pier house for 2 nights and were not disappointed, what a stunning spot, we thoroughly enjoyed fishing off the private pier, not that we caught anything but just sitting down at the water side was so peaceful and absolutely beautiful. We loved the house, beautiful old furniture, nice and cosy and absolutely spotless! It has such a warm feel to the place!
Thank you Ben for your recommendations, we loved every minute of our time here on Bruny Island and hope that it won’t be long too long before we return!

A delightful stay here in Saintys’ Cottage.
Entertainment by Pademelons & Wallabies. Having escaped from the city (Hobart) to South Bruny and mixture of conservation values (natural & historical& mod cons)
Power to charge the car.

We’d like to say thank-you for our stay, everything was lovely when we arrived.
Your property is very special and magical.
Enjoyed getting away from city life for a few days.
We had a lovely time surfing and bush walking.
Appreciate the pride you take in your little hide away. Cheers.
Thanks for a terrific (but too short) stay @ the Pier House.
Bruny Island is spectacular, but we didn’t need to leave the property for our highlights which were the cheeky fur seal flirting with us around the pier, and the shy echidna that strolled across the driveway.
Our kids loved fossicking in the rocks around the pier, and we had a lovely time watching a family of wallabies feed at dusk from the deck.
Thank you!

Cloudy Bay Villa ,Bruny Island, Tasmania.
The location of our engagement.
A celebration of love, commitment and trust as we build a future together.
The Villa was a perfect location for us as it celebrated Tiff’s NZ heritage, the island similar in size to Singapore (JT’s heritage) and the view/location symbolic of our shared love for future, outdoors, tranquillity and the ocean.
Thank you for the amazing stay and hope to return again and again to reminisce and celebrate new milestones in our lives.
Thank you for a magical stay.

We had a magic 4 days at the Villa. The weather was wild with huge winds and the couch was the perfect place to be to watch the clouds roll in across the incredible bay. There were so often sea eagles over Middle Bay and echidnas and pademelons by the back door. And great surf, despite the weather! We love Bruny, but now we love it even more.
Beautifully relaxing time away at a lovely property. Stunning location and the views were amazing. Would love to return soon.

Thanks for a fabulous introduction to Bruny Island. We have eaten and drunk our way around the Island. Loved our outlook each night overlooking the water. Thanks!
Pier house on Bruny island is awesome! We stayed two couples and our two kids and we had a great time / we loved the walk down to the jetty and the kids swam in the water and had a ball. We enjoyed the wildlife - with wallabies, kookaburras and possums aplenty. The location was nice and close to the Bruny winery and easy drive to everywhere we wanted to visit. The house was well furnished and had quality appliances - and we liked the coffee too! Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommend.
Thank you for a lovely stay. Great accommodation and view!

A really stunning start to our Tasmanian adventure - idyllic location off the beaten track and on a beautiful beach. The kids lost themselves in nature, running onto the beach past the wildlife and we were in total solitude. The cabin itself was cosy, well equipped and clean. Beds also comfortable.
A truly enlightening experience. This magical accommodation has exceeded every expectation, and we thoroughly enjoyed putting our small amount of time on Bruny Island to good use by gracing this wonderous home. The exquisite decor created an atmosphere almost impossible to recreate and the arcade gaming consoles rekindling childlike whimsy. Spent three nights at Saintys Creek. A delightful, peaceful location with wallabies on the lawn, and lots of birdlife. Cottage is comfortable and spacious for two people, and well located for cycling to Cloudy Bay or Lunawanna. No telephone reception at the cottage - so its a real escape!
Amazing weather here for the past 3 days & what a great spot to stay. We enjoyed regular swims in the warm water off the bay. Unbelievable to see Pedra Branca from the lighthouse on Tuesday. Bruny Island Cruise was fantastic & Cape Queen Elizabeth walk was definitely worth the walk. Great accommodation, very peaceful and quiet with awesome views.
Fantastic property. Caters well for groups . We had a great 3 nights! Thanks Ben for being so easy to deal with.
The peaceful location was a balm to the soul, once we arrived from an adventurous drive through changeable terrain. The cabin was in a prime position taking in stunning sunsets across Cloudy Bay. All necessary items were available and a very effective BBQ. We enjoyed lots of sitting on the verandah observing the wildlife and more active bush walkers and camping types. All in all a most relaxing few days. Don’t forget you need all your supplies!
Cloudy Bay Villa offers visitors a unique experience on secluded south Bruny Island. This spectacular two-story house on a gentle rise over Whalebone Point offers some of the best views in Tasmania. We had an amazing 3 nights away on Bruny Island. The accommodation was even better than we hoped for. Driving to the top of the hill and into "the paddock" seriously takes your breath away - that view!!! The house accommodated all 8 adults perfectly, with a bathroom for each couple. The beds were very comfy...we couldn't have asked for more ??
Excellent property, very well presented and in a great location. Safe space for the kids to play while you relax on the deck with a glass of wine enjoying the view.
The cottage is in a very secluded location surrounded by forest with lots of birds and animals coming for a visit. It is beautifully quiet. While not an easy task, it was well worth the effort to put our own kayaks in the creek and paddle up and out into stunning Cloudy Bay. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Communication with BrunyIsland.au is excellent. Highly recommend staying at Saintys Creek Cottage.

Great Venue for big groups, ideal location, Highly recommended.
The place is magnificent, an immersion in nature, and absolute calm. The house is simple but well thought out, and you can go for walks around the forest or along the river. In the evening, the wallabies come to see you on the terrace

We absolutely loved staying at the Villa - the views of Tasmania's southern Bruny coastline are epic. Magnificent. Tremendous. It's actually hard to put into words! Once you arrive on the property there is no reason to leave during your stay. Each day we walked the beach to Cloudy Bay Lagoon river mouth, 2 hour return, watching Sea Eagles, Wedge-tailed eagles, Pied Oystercatcher's and their chicks... and the a huge array of other ocean bird-life.
The Villa has plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone to feel comfy, we had some friends visit from their shack on the island that ended up staying for a few nights. The wild rugged coastline drew us all in... the perfect reset we all needed.

Thanks for having 9 of us for 4 nights at Cloudy Bay Villa. The location is just amazing and the accommodation was easy for a large group of us to easily move in and enjoy the Island. The local beaches were an easy walk and really helped us relax and unwind. The constant views of the surfers enjoying the cloudy bay break with the southern ocean as a backdrop was just amazing. We are already planning a return trip.

Our second time staying at Cloudy Bay Lagoon Estate with our whole family (nan, pop, uncles, aunties + the kids). This house is amazing for larger gatherings (there are 13 of us!). Our first visit to Cloudy Bay Cabin.
We’re totally blown away by the view, the wild winds and the untouched beauty of this place.
We’ve found ourselves sitting on the verandah for hours, wrapped in the blankets and watching the swell roll in.
What a joy to come from the blistering heat of Queensland to the cold winds blowing in from the south.
This place reminds us to slow down and I feel truly blessed to have stayed at this beautiful cabin.?
No sign of the “old mate” the wallaby, I think my bearded husband has scared him away.
We’ll be back this way again and I will dream of this little nest in the Tassie bush.
Warm wishes to all who stay here-enjoy your holiday and know that life is truly good. x

Bruny Island (What a place)
The cottage is one of those delightful finds away from the road and seemingly on the edge of the wilderness. It has all of the appliances needed for a self-contained stay and the all-important bed is firmly comfortable with an adequate supply of blankets to tweak the level of warmth in the colder months. Mid-winter gave us few animal visitors - I suspect there are many more in the warmer times of the year. A wonderful base for exploring South Bruny especially now that there's a barista who knows his stuff just 7 minutes drive away at the Lunawanna junction. One cautionary note: drivers beware of daredevil padimelons in this area - at all hours !
The location is spectacular and the house takes advantage of the stunning view from every room. Very comfy for a winter escape.
Loved the cottage and location, just idyllic - love Bruny Island

Unreal. Easily one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in Tasmania! The property is beautiful, the lodge itself is unexplainable. We had 10 people stay very comfortably. The service is great, fire wood ready to go, bedding, toiletries all set. Ben, the host is so easy to deal with and makes sure you can have the best time possible. Will 100% be back. Thanks again guys!
The Bruny Island Lodge is a hidden gem, particularly for a getaway with a large group of people.
I was responsible for organising a trip to celebrate my brother's upcoming wedding and was fortunate enough to stumble across the website for the lodge. The information on the website sounded promising but the reality was incredibly good. This place has been custom built to cater for large groups in style; timber throughout, leather lounges, comfortable and quality bedding, well stocked kitchen, quality sound system etc. There are several activities available on-site - enough to keep our group of 18 entertained for hours at a time.
We also had surfing lessons at Cloudy Bay and a private Pennicott boat tour — just a couple of examples of the awesome activities available on Bruny Island. Ben, the host, was friendly and informative and was contactable throughout in case we had any issues.
If you need a place to house a large group for any purpose, I can't recommend this lodge highly enough, it won't disappoint. It was great to meet you, thanks for an awesome weekend.
If you need some peace and time to unwind Cloudy Bay Cabin is what you need.
A beautiful log cabin on a windswept bay at the bottom of Bruny Island. It's clean and comfy ,the big bed is gorgeous and the views are amazing.
Can't recommend this place enough.
An idyllic retreat on South Bruny in a quiet bush setting. The ideal place to stay if you are looking for peace and privacy. Uncrowded beaches and walking tracks are within easy reach.

The Cloudy Bay Villa on Bruny Island has magnificent sweeping views of the ocean and dramatic clifftops. There is a private path to the beach below which was dotted with surfers the entire time we were there.
The Villa itself is a credit to the architects and designers. It is made for comfort and living. The interior is rustic, comfortable and modern in wood and leather. Each piece of furniture has a beautiful, earthy feel and touch. You can lounge in the deep leather sofas or sit at the dining room table immersed in comfort and spectacular views. There are three huge bedrooms with their own en-suites and a retreat area on the first floor which also has two beds. The dimensions are space and luxury, starting with the king size beds, long wooden table that seats 20 comfortably and sofas to relax and sink into. Every room in the house has a view of the ocean. There is also an outside dining area and BBQ, in addition to the huge kitchen full of every mod con you could want.
The rhythm of the sea is soothing and lulls you to sleep. Pademelons, a smaller version of a wallaby, are constant companions grazing the grass around the house. Cloudy Bay Villa is not just a property with a WOW factor but rustic and comfortable with views that are spectacular.
Loved it.
Special thanks to the fabulous Ben who went out of his way to make our visit really special.

Absolutely beautiful spot, if you’re looking for rustic isolation then this is the place. Adored it here, and we will be back as soon as possible!

We had three days at the Villa recently where we experienced a range of weather conditions from very cold and windy, to warm, almost balmy but the weather simply made our stay more interesting. The Villa is splendidly outfitted and made our stay very comfortable at all times so our focus on Mother Nature at her best was in no way compromised... it was actually enhanced.
The changes of colours of the skies and seas were breath-taking and the tidal variations added even more variation. Around the Villa we were kept company by a trio of pademelons carrying on their daily routines almost oblivious to the eight visitors staying at the Villa. The location of the Villa made it easy to experience the local attractions, particularly interesting for foodies. And had we been interested in walks or swimming the options were there also.
We can't recommend this holiday location highly enough!!! And we look forward to sampling the other venues in the future.

Such a beautiful cabin in a secluded, pristine bay. Loved every minute of our stay at Cloudy bay Cabin. I can't recommend this place enough, absolutely perfect.

We had a wonderful time at the Cloudy Bay Cabin. The location was fantastic with incredible views of Cloudy Bay- I loved just looking at the bay. The cabin was also well positioned for a couple of great bush walks. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. Great for a family getaway. We would love to come back.
Just perfect. A place to disconnect and recharge. Highly recommended.
As a family we LOVED Cloudy Bay Cabin. It is secluded, private and nestled in the sand dunes of Cloudy Bay. It's comfy and really quite spacious and it's well equipped with a good kitchen, BBQ and comforts of home. The fireplace looks amazing (we didn't actually use it) and the deck is a great spot to admire the waves and the gorgeous sunsets. There are some great walking tracks nearby which we made use of and we really enjoyed the serenity and peacefulness that this location provides.

We loved the house and the property. It was a great experience. Bruny Island is Beautiful!
Great location, very comfortable, a bit like home but with a sea view.
This was our second stay, wonderful as before. Spectacular view, wonderful home. Still an almost private beach.
Our group of 8 came to see the Aurora, but unfortunately the sun didn't cooperate this time.We now know the best place in Tassie when we come again to see it.The house is magnificent and we were particularly amazed to see the thousands of crabs scuttling across the sand at the beach. Highly recommended.

A wild windy rainy day yesterday. No place better to watch through the amazing windows with the fire on, a book in hand, and maybe some red wine in the other !! A great few days.
What a great place - to sit and watch the wild weather. To surf, swim (yes we are crazy), run, kite surf and watch the AFL GF. We loved it, look forward to visiting again in the near future :) Thanks x

Cloudy bay cabin is in an amazing, remote location that provides a real sense of Tasmanian wilderness. You can sit comfy by the fire while looking out over cloudy bay. Very comfortable and a unique experience.
Thanks for having us !! what a great house in a great location. Ken was more than helpful and accommodating. Good times had by all. Will definitely be coming back with family and friends.

The place is as isolated as you would want. It’s at the end of a bumpy 4km driveway, on the edge of a 3km beach and I didn’t see a single other person for the two days I was there, only curious cows. And Deepak who came to help me with the heater. The fitout was done by people who understand the important bits (milk, torches, good bed linen, cleanliness, maintenance) and don’t bother with the fancy stuff. The negative bits are not the fault of the managers, but you have to know if you're going to stay: THE OPTUS SIGNAL IS CRAP. Telstra is probably ok, but for the phone, it was absent most of the time, with brief windows every few hours. Inside or outside the house. So prepare for not having comms. This lead to an additional problem as I couldn’t figure out the heater, needed to ask for help and sat huddled in a blanket as I waited for the Optus satellites to tilt around the earth.. It was a warm blanket and the seas in Cloudy Bay were spectacular. Eventually I got a signal and Ben, who got Deepak, who showed me the hidden control panel on the heater (it was a new heater; the control panel now has a label on it). It was a comfortable comforting cabin in a profoundly beautiful place and I could have stayed there for months. I just would have nipped over to the mainland to pick up a Telstra sim.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Bruny Island Lodge! Everything was perfect for our large group and the kids couldn't get enough of the trampoline, totem tennis, pool table and all the other fun things to do at the Lodge. The accommodation was excellent - fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, warm, cosy and inviting, with plenty of room for all. The grounds and surrounds were also stunning, complete with fire pit for added atmosphere, overlooking the stunning vista. Two nights wasn't long enough and we will definitely be back soon! Thanks to Ben and the team for such a fabulous experience.

Great place! Great location! Awesome winter getaway.
Absolutely stunning part of the world. This house is amazing, secluded and private with amazing views. Close to the beach and loads of other adventures close by.
A very special property in a beautiful part of the world. We loved our stay at Sainty's Creek Cottage and can't wait to return there...2 nights is just not enough time to take in the silence, the wonder of the mossy garden, the bird life at the creek and the local walks through forests. A relaxing home away from home and we really appreciated how easy it was to check in and out, thank you so much :)

What a beautiful property in a stunning location. Every detail was taken care of and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Cloudy Bay Beach House.
The Sainty's Creek cottage was super cute, cosy and lovely to hang out in during a rainy Tassie weekend - we loved all the wood and the handmade feel of the place. Definitely worth travelling further down the road to check out the headland at Cloudy Bay, which is gorgeous. We spent lots of time spotting wildlife, and of course enjoying Bruny Island cheese and wine next to the fire. The coffee machine was a lovely addition, and the rooms and furniture were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

This has to be best holiday home in Tasmania. Our stay was sublime even with very Autumnal weather. The views are top 10 as are the house furnishings. Lots of great wildlife and walking tracks. If you want to really get away from it all this is the place to do it. We will be back.

Thanks for such a wonderful trip. The boys had so much fun surfing all the cool breaks around there. The scenery is magnificent and everyone was so hospitable. The food was great and we loved the accommodations. We really enjoyed the boat ride too. Thank you again for such a great experience.

This part of Bruny is very special, and it felt like we were on our own private beach. It was great to be "off the grid" and have a simpler existence for a few days. The cabin is well set up with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Highly recommended.
The most relaxing weekend away in a long time. Surrounded by peace, tranquility and nature. The food was delicious from all the locally sourced seafood, cheeses, breads and much much more. Thank you.

The cabin feels like the most isolated sanctuary on an island which is entirely a sanctuary. Our stay offered a time to experience the simple life, with enough creature comforts to feel cosy. The sunset views from the couch draw a close to perfect days of beach walking, bird watching and exploring coastal heathlands.

Bruny Island Cabin is a truly amazing! Not for everyone but if your one of those who likes to get away from it all, this is for you! Great views, lovely long walks along the beach. It may not be one of the flashiest along Cloudy Bay Beach but it has all you need & is very comfortable & it certainly has the easiest access to the beach. I would certainly return there when I am next on Bruny Island
A lovely night spent here on the way through to Cloudy Bay. Very cosy in a nice quiet setting.

We loved every aspect of what is a a fabulous location with very comfortable accommodation. This has been our second visit to this site and will not be the last. The friendly and professional team ensure our stays are memorable for the right reasons.
Amazing location. Perfect cabin with all the amenities. We couldn’t have asked for anything better for our special occasion.
I cannot recommend the lodge highly enough. It’s the perfect retreat to get away from it all and enjoy being immersed in nature. The lodge is very spacious and great for large groups. Facilities are fantastic and the beds were very comfy. The trampoline provided our toddler with hours of entertainment and the wood fire was the perfect addition to the already cosy atmosphere!
We stayed at the Bruny Island Lodge for a Conference over 2 nights with a total of 16 people. The large conference space had everything we needed including activities as table tennis, pool table, air hockey, golf pitching, cards and arcade games. The property has intriguing furnishings and décor which adds to the wonderful homely feel. It has very comfortable beds as well as generous sized bunk beds including a well-appointed kitchen and plenty of bathrooms with great water pressure. The amazing wood fires kept the property cosy, relaxing and the outdoor space is very private. Thank you to Ben for having everything organised when we arrived, hoping to return to this amazing property in the future.
I have stayed here twice now with a group of friends. It is wonderful. I love the wood and the furnishings and I love how many people it can fit. The kitchen facilities are great- with everything you could need. I love how it can still feel cosy especially with the wood heaters going. The location is special- no one else around, bush surrounds so wildlife is in abundance and the view of the night sky is special. We spent an hour or two just gazing up and with no light pollution so you can see things you never thought were there.
The generator is an easy switch to turn on and off so first up in the morning would be the switch flicker. The peace with nothing running at night was just serene.
We will be back again for more laughs and trampoline fun. I love what they have done here and thankful we could experience it.
Highly recommend staying at the lodge! Everything you need in a beautiful secluded location. A getaway spot where you really feel you can either relax and unwind with a book in front of the fire or head off adventuring. The lodge was clean, warm and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of room but in saying that it had such a cosy feel to it. We will definitely back!
Bruny Island Lodge is more spectacular than their photos on the website. It is log cabin luxury with a full commercial kitchen, beautiful bed linen , a roaring fire and all those little touches that make you feel pampered. At night, the only lights are from the brilliant night sky and the peace of the area is immediately relaxing. Ben, who manages the lodge, patiently answered my every question and his recommendations were always spot on. My only recommendation is to try to arrive in daylight as the driveway is fairly challenging for anything less than a SUV. Thank you for having us, I hope we will be back
A beautiful location, perfect for a small retreat.

What an incredible location for a gathering of family's and friends - plenty to keep the kids busy - perfect entertaining spaces for the adults and that's before you even get outside - the property has a plethora of bushwalks, most, taking in the coast line with vistas towards Bruny Island Lighthouse and the southern channel area - we spent hours fossicking and taking photos as we explored this amazing property. Ben, the property manager, made the whole experience seamless and was very informative and friendly. We are all looking forward to doing it all again next year.
Beautiful property and location. Stayed the weekend after proposing to my now fiance` Sarah. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the view from the main bedroom is incredible. The place is set perfectly in the location of bush lands and ocean/beach view.
We had an awesome time – saw the Sea Eagles battling a seal for fish on the last morning ! Great house. If we could turn back time we’d have booked a longer stay. We believe we’ll be back !

9 days based at Sainty’s Creek Cottage. 2 artists, painting and drawing, exploring the island and enjoying the sounds, smells and sights in this remote environment. Shy Pademelons grazing at dusk and dawn, plenty of birds, (wrens, black cockatoos, robins, flycatchers, parrots), perfect weather. Great experience.

Terrific cabin for a secluded getaway. It was exactly as described and had everything that was needed. We only had a couple of days but if more I would have stocked up with groceries and never left. Perfect location to just sit and relax.
This was a really memorable holiday. Bruny just by itself was spectacular but being able to stay at Saintys Creek in the middle of that forest so close to Cloudy Bay really made it something special. Easily the highlight for us was the animal and bird life. The sounds of exotic bird calls echoing through the forest all day long were wonderfully calming. The plant life around the cottage is also fantastic. It seemed other- worldly to us mainlanders. The cottage was perfectly sized and really well appointed. We really appreciated the higher quality cooking equipment and especially that fantastic coffee machine. Nice linen on the bed and a great shower rounded it all off. Just a great place to stay! Big thanks to Ben for being such a great host. We're definitely coming back.
I have just returned from my 2nd stay in this special spot. The first was a reunion with school friends and this time a family get together with 3 families and grandparents. We were all very comfortably accommodated and loved the home and location. Ben was especially helpful when making the booking and supplied us with clear directions and information about Bruny Island; it’s history, attractions and suggested activities. We have all returned home with very special memories of a relaxing holiday in a beautiful and secluded location.
We had such a wonderful stay at the Cloudy Bay Beach House - we loved the location, the house, the sea breeze and the absolute peace! We came away refreshed and relaxed, and can't wait to go back for more! It was the best week's holiday we've ever had! Thank you Ben for making it happen, we really appreciate it. Many thanks for the privilege of being there
I loved how secluded the property was , nobody around for miles , perfect place to unwind and relax . The property itself was in amazing condition , the wooden decor perfectly in sync with the location , so close to nature that only visitors we had were the wallabies.
We were a group of five couples - all middle aged middle class professionals and we had THE BEST three nights over New Year at this place. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The solitude and landscape is second to none. Five stars!
What a location!!! sensational view from all the rooms
Ben was very accommodating and gave us lots of local tips on what to see where to swim etc
This property is a beach house with all you need for a fabulous getaway- location is isolated sitting up above Cloudy Bay .
Highly recommend
Excellent property, superb location. Well equipped. Road is a bit rough but it keeps out those who don't need to be there.
Our stay was one to be locked into the memory bank. We keep coming back due to the welcoming management and the quality of our accommodation. Bruny island is a special place for us away from the maddening crowds where we can unwind and feel comfortable. Thanks to Ben and all the team that made everything just right. We will come back again soon.

yet again a fabulous weekend at bruny lodge. We stayed over with 10 of our friends/runners for the bruny island ultra. Its a perfect place for a big group to stay, while it is a hike from the boat once your there you dont have to leave. we did have a couple of kids this year which had a ball in the games area and we even got to start the out door fire. Ben was fabulous friend and welcoming. definitely a 10 out of 10 :)
Our group of 5 had a lovely stay at the Cloudy Bay Beach House. It was very well appointed - everything we needed and more - along with very comfortable beds. The large open plan living area had fabulous, comfortable furniture to loll in while gazing out over the water wondering how far Antarctica might be. A lovely walk to the Beach through the Forest and boardwalk, but quite steep in parts. Lots of wallabies and Black cockatoos to see along the way. We’ll be back - but for longer next time!
We spent three nights in this amazing place. The house is fabulous and has a huge living space with everything you could need. Three spacious bedrooms, two with en-suite, and a third bathroom. The view from the bed in the main room is spectacular; what a way to wake each morning! The glassed wall at the end of the living area overlooks a similarly spectacular and breath-taking view of Cloudy Bay beach.
The heating throughout the house kept us toasty warm even though it was chilly outside.
Located in beautiful natural bushland filled with wildlife, beside the ocean it makes a perfect getaway.
Hope to go back again one day. Would highly recommend this accommodation
Stayed over the weekend for my daughter's wedding. Everything ran incredibly smoothly - a fantastic day, with equally fantastic accommodation and organisation.
Wonderful weekend at a luxurious house.. magnificent views and amazing amenities. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights in October 2018 and enjoyed every minute of it. An exceptionally well appointed and comfortable house with extraordinary views. We are sorry we didn't have more time and are sure to return.

What a rare and wonderful experience. So pristine, so beautiful and so relaxing. The perfect place to leave all your worries behind and lay back and just stop.
Magnificent property & location
We were a group of 15 celebrating a special birthday, & this was the perfect property for our get-together. Facilities for a large group are wonderful. Bedding in all rooms is extremely comfortable, & there were enough bathrooms to easily accommodate everyone. Kitchen is amazing & had everything we needed to cater for our large group & would have easily accommodated larger groups. As well as the obvious wonderful bush walking opportunities available, games available included golf pitching off the deck into the back yard, pool table, table tennis, arcade games, etc, etc, so certainly plenty to do!!
Numerous bush tracks around the property including walks to Mickey's Inlet.
A huge thanks to Ben & Staff for all your support in making our celebration a 10 out of 10!!!!

WOW factor from the word go! We have stayed any many beautiful and memorable houses but Cloudy Bay Beach house took the Grand Prize. From the second you see the house you know you are in for a treat, Amazing private location, immaculate presentations & furnishings, Heated flooring and all the extra little touches that make you feel special. Then there is the view - Arguably one of the best views we have ever seen!!! Thank you Ben and Team you made our holiday even better that we could have hoped for, we look forward to visiting again.10/10 in every way.

We had a very comfortable 2 night midwinter stay in the wildest of weather, watching the changing conditions and feeling safe and warm in the cabin. An issue with the heater was attended to promptly by Ben and Victor for which we were very grateful. The beds are comfortable with plenty of spare blankets if needed. We didn’t feel that we needed anything which wasn’t provided apart from the provisions we had taken ourselves, which is important as it is a long drive to a shop. The location of the cabin is breathtaking and unique and we will definitely be returning.
We stayed for 3 nights. It is just a stunning place to unwind and relax. The rustic cabin was comfortable and warm and only added to the unique experience of this awesome place. The views and wilderness of this location are amazing and is the perfect place to get away from it all. We will be definitely staying here again.
What a stunning, beautiful and amazing place to stay. This is the second time we have taken a group of our staff to Bruny Island Lodge. The host, (Ben) was so extremely helpful and accommodating. The Lodge was beautifully prepared with everything we needed. When we arrived Ben had the fire already lit and had warmed the Lodge up. We undertook a number of day trips and when we arrived back to the lodge Ben had once again started our fire after replacing a few things we needed. We will definitely be coming back to Bruny Island Lodge

Such a wonderful place to stay. Only superlatives from four old codgers who are quite difficult to please. Cloudy Bay Beach House is very very comfortable and with the beautiful location and extremely good design my sister and I are quite homesick for it - looking forward to a return visit. Wild and windy weather for part of the time we were there (May) but plenty of beach walks and cosiness - and Bruny Island oysters - more than made up for that. And Ben called in the morning after the big storm, which was lovely and quite unexpected.

We stayed during May 2018 and the night we arrived there was some of the worst weather the area had experienced since early 1900 I believe. It was blowing a gale and loads of rain. The house was a perfect sanctuary against the extremes and the Lounge offered a glassed panorama to witness the exhilarating show. As disappointed as we were to get such challenging weather for our time away, we all left feeling fortunate to have experienced it on this beautiful island. Ben could not have been more informative and accommodating during the bad weather and was always eager to assist wherever possible. I loved the location and found the Kitchen ample for groups wanting to cook. Three large bedrooms, all with En-suites made for a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this house and (Island) to anyone that really enjoys watching nature at its core.

This was a trip for our extended family, 2 adults and 6 teenagers/adults. Most teenagers don't want to hang out with the "olds" but we mentioned Bruny Island and showed them where we were going, I cannot believe how well it went. The house was so accommodating, spacious and well laid out. An amazing design with spectacular view of the lagoon directly in front of the house. Conveniently close to surf at "Cloudy" (surf talk), ideal for the 3 surfers we had with us. Thank you Ben, for everything arranged and making it the best family holiday. We said we will come back again; and we will !

Gorgeous place to stay with friends and relax into a few days of quiet living. We loved watching the light change over the lagoon from the deck, and if it was chilly the view was no less stunning through the huge windows from in front of the fire. The kitchen was fantastic for those of us who love to cook, and the dinning table a perfect spot for a few after dinner drinks and laughs. We fished the lagoon without luck, but were happy to have an excuse to wade about taking in the views. Birds everywhere, swans, sand pipers, and herons in the water, plovers, green parrots, and wrens about the deck, a falcon or two, and a less than impressed Wedge-tail being harassed by Currawongs. Perfect time away.
Our family had a wonderful stay at this hidden gem by the sea. So much wildlife, beautiful sunrises, sunsets, gorgeous long walks on the beach and we’ve never seen so many stars before! Great to disconnect from phones and the internet for awhile and just spend time with those you are with. Thank you for an amazing holiday. We hope to be back soon.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. Nice to switch off and just enjoy nature. The birdlife here is amazing. Other wildlife at night is abundant. Cloudy bay villa is just magic. Far enough away to experience the magnificent wilderness of Bruny Island, but not so far away from other must-see attractions like the wilderness cruise and the cheese factory. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Our favorite feature of the house is the enormous windows through which to see the constantly changing coast, especially at sunset. The coastal retreats team were tremendously helpful from initial contact to a reluctant goodbye. We will most definitely be back, hopefully accompanied by our family and friends to show them just how great a Bruny Island holiday can be.

Fantastic house in a great location. Will definitely be returning to Bruny Island
Fabulous home to stay in for a short break. Our group of eight friends enjoyed the spacious , well equipped house in a very beautiful and private location. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire whilst the rain fell outside, and when the storm caused the power to fail the support crew swung into action and made sure we were not inconvenienced for the short time we had no electricity. I would strongly recommend this house for a family or group planning a stay on Bruny Island and I will certainly be going back myself .
A beautiful home and location-perfect for a night of our annual catch up with 8 of us. Lovely to have a chance to enjoy the scenery. Taste local wines, cheeses, fudge and chocolate added to our stash we brought with us. Thanks for your help and effort when the power was off on arrival.

We stayed at Cloudy Bay cabin for two nights with friends from USA. It was absolute paradise!! This is a unique experience for those who would like to live for just a few days in peace and quiet with no visible neighbours, no vehicle noise but just the sound of the breaking waves and the breathtaking scenery. An ideal retreat in a near flawlessly designed house with everything one could want. All one needs is a good supply of all food and drink and a good supply of books on their Kindle and life doesn't get much better. Cloudy Bay is as far away from the ferry as you can get and the nearest 'shop' is 30 mins away so one needs to be mindful of stocking up. It is a treat to be able to spend time here and one should allow themselves at least 3 nights to soak up the sheer indulgence.
If there is a heaven on this earth it must be here. Weather - who cares. We could not pick a better spot to relax. Thanks B & V.
Incredible location. Wonderful "off grid" experience. Cabin was so comfortable. Loved the bed ! The ever changing view was a real highlight. Thanks Ben and Viktor !!
We spent a long weekend at Bruny Island Lodge with family to celebrate a significant birthday. It was perfect. With three generations (ages from 2 to 70) there was something to keep everyone happy - great views, wildlife and games for the kids. Particularly wonderful for kids of all ages - lots to keep them busy so the grown ups could enjoy the quiet.
The accommodation was very comfortable, with lots of separate areas. We were there on a very hot summer weekend so were able to open the living space up to views, but we didn't get to use the several fireplaces which would be lovely in cooler weather.
We had a wonderful time and can't recommend enough for a big group, especially with kids.
Thank you for letting us stay at this fantastic location. We loved this cabin. Thank you Ben for a really wonderful stay. We loved the swims, the walks, the peace and quiet and the views. The baby swallows learning to fly. The white wallaby we saw on the 2nd night was so special. The fishing, the friendly locals, the boards games and flying kites. The quieter life for a glorious week!

What a wonderful part of the world! Loved the cosy cabin and the beach was very safe for the kids to play in. Spotted a sand octopus. The highlight was the bush walk to Beaufort Bay! Thanks for a lovely time.

Amazing place. We have been all over Tasmania but this was as good as it gets. Perfect weather. The water was warm, surf was good, beautiful walks. One of the best places on earth.
Amazing place to stay! 180 degree ocean views and amazing view of stars. The drive to get there is worth it!
Thank you John for such an amazing stay here!
The view is beautiful and the house is unbelievably stunning!!!
We cant wait to come back!

This is a spectacular property. It sits high up on a rise overlooking the whole panorama of Cloudy Bay, which has to be one of the most beautiful bays I have ever seen. There is an easy path down to a completely deserted beach. There is also a rocky promontory in front of the house where rare penguins nest and exquisite rock pools with bull kelp lapping the water's edge. The experience there is one of utter remoteness and retreat and being steeped in deep nature. I felt I was reconnecting with the Spirit of the Earth..........
Waking up to the sound of the pounding waves of the Southern Ocean, looking straight out of the bedroom window onto the bay. The wind and the stillness, clouds moving, the ever changing seascape, barely a light visible at night. Back to basics. The house is very comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, wood paneling in the bedrooms, hardwood floors and 4 bathrooms. The views are absolutely stunning from every window. We had a big family gathering there with 8 people, some from Europe, some from Australia, some country people and some city people and we were all extremely happy with the place. We all felt a profound sense of letting go, relaxation and openness to the beauty of land. We left feeling inspired and refreshed and reconnected as a family.
Thank you.
We’ve just returned from a wonderful week in Tasmania, three days of which were spent in a cabin on Cloudy Bay, at the bottom of Bruny Island.
Apart from a stunning and serene location, our time here was just as special because of the local wildlife, including this pair of welcome swallows. What we initially mistook as interest in us, was instead interest in their young, nesting in the eaves above the front door.
During each day here, we kept our time on the porch to a minimum, allowing the parents to fly out in search of food, then return every few minutes with eagerly awaited mouthfuls. Typically, as is the case in this image, one would remain nearby while the other scouted and collected, then they would swap roles.
However by each evening, when the entire family was snuggled quietly overhead, we’d sneak out with a blanket and a glass of wine, and watch the day fade across the bay, and behind the distant mountains of mainland Tasmania.
If it were possible, we’d be back there tomorrow.
We've just returned from a wonderful week in Tasmania and without a doubt, the highlight for us was the few days spent in Cloudy Bay Cabin.
The drive to the cabin, through pastures, forest and dunes is a delightful experience on its own, and provides just enough distance from civilisation to feel private without feeling isolated. The cabin sits on a grassy hill at the edge of forest, and looks across miles of beach to to the other side of Cloudy Bay and the distant mountains of south-east Tasmanian mainland.
We spent most of our days exploring Bruny Island, all of which can be reached within no more than an hour's drive from the cabin. However we made sure we left plenty of time to return in the evenings, walk along the beach, and then watch pademelons emerge from the bush and graze on the grass beneath the porch.
Inside, the cabin has a large combined living area including kitchen, dining table and living area - with plenty of windows facing the beach. Then there are 2 bedrooms (one for a couple and the other with 4 bunks), and a laundry, shower and separate toilet. As long as you're well stocked up on groceries (available from the general store on Adventure Bay, or the Bruny Island Cheese and Beer Co.) you'll have everything you need here to enjoy what we found to be a completely enviable and unmissable life-style.

We had a wonderful stay at The Cottage. It was peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by the multilayered Tasmanian bush with visits from wallabies and pademelons and a very insistent shrike thrush. One of our trio loves birds so after dark we went looking for owls. No owls but so many other nocturnal creatures. A walk to Cloudy Bay East Head through flowering shrubs accompanied by fast moving squalls was invigorating and then returning to the cottage and a warm fire. What more could we want? Thank you Ben for organising a last minute booking . Hope to be back .
We stayed here during the Bruny Ultra Marathon weekend it was a perfect location and fitted us all in comfortably. We come every year with our Solemates running group and we will definitely be back !

Our booking at the Cabin was made last minute and what a great decision. The cabin was immaculately clean and well kitted out and the location is amazing. Ben was super helpful both with the booking and then helping us out the next day with a stay at Cloudy Bay Villa which is another amazing property, it is great to meet someone who is so obviously enthusiastic about their job.
Overall I could not recommend either property enough.
The cosy and comfortable log cabin is beautifully situated on green meadows above a strip of coastal vegetation.
Beautiful views onto the beach. Secluded, in the midst of the wonderful pristine nature. Swallows nests on the verandah, grazing marsupials (Wallabies or Pademelons?) around the house.
Wonderful walks on the beach or to East Cloudy Head.
On a cool, rainy day we were greatful for the easy going gas heater.

A truly lovely spot, close to the elements but extremely modern and comfortable.
We had a very enjoyable stay and recommend it to others without hesitation.
Fabulous, magical place. Loved the views and the ever present sound of the waves and the birds. Comfortable bedrooms. Cosy and warm despite blustering rain and wind outside. The only slight gripe would be that it would benefit from some detailed dusting in the corners. But otherwise a truly fabulous place for us and our young family. We are looking forward to coming back for longer next time.
Beautiful, light, luxurious and peaceful home on the water with views to die for.
After a retreat weekend at this beautiful estate, I'm keen to return and bring the family. The home was able to house a large number of people and I particularly liked the lightness and views of the home. You really feel like you're miles from everyone. There's a small beach right out the front to kayak from and it's kid friendly and shallow for a long way out. The home is beautifully designed and you feel like part of nature with glass the whole way round. A peaceful retreat from the rigours of life, hard to leave and keen to return.
An amazing location. Our budding 7 year old marine biologist was thrilled to find a whale vertebra on the beach as well as 2 rays and lots of other amazing finds. Despite the pouring rain we had a fantastic time.
We had a pleasant stay in Cloudy Bay Villa, a peaceful location. The wallabies were gorgeous to see and the view amazing. Very cosy and warm. Thanks

Super! What an amazing location + comfortable, relaxing cabin. Lovely to get away from city life even if just for a few days. Hope to come back with kayaks sometime. Thank you
This place is amazing! Set up with everything you could possibly need and so many toys! We re-lived our youth with the air hockey and trampoline. It is an absolute haven for those who love the outdoors and spending time with mates. It is a fabulous set up for a big crew, and we will definitely be back! It is also well set up to hold a retreat or even a special event.
Thanks, the ever changing views are a photographers dream. Loved it. Cant wait to visit again for a bit longer.
Absolutely beautiful, magnificent place. Wish we could stay longer, thanks again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint little isolated cottage.
It had all the comforts of home and was so private and romantic for us.
Having NO phone reception gave us the total serenity of enjoying each other.
It was sad when our stay was over and we had to return to reality.

Stunning, peaceful, waterfront home. I have just returned from a womens retreat that was held at the Cloudy Bay Lagoon Estate. We had a stunning weekend and part of the great experience was the amazing accommodation. The hosts bent over backwards to assist us in accommodating our large group at very short notice. The house is well laid out to accommodate large groups and the waterfront views are just spectacular... I loved it, would stay there again and would definitely recommend it.

Had a great time here. Stunning walk south along the peninsula. Really cosy cabin to relax in winter.
A beautiful property and location with stunning views and modern home decor. Lovely and warm with wood fire and heat pump.
Had a fantastic time, loved all of the wildlife.
Amazing cabin in a beautiful remote part of Bruny Island. We stayed on a wet and wintery couple of days in September and it was so cosy inside. Loved it!
From the moment you open the gate and take the winding path through the trees you know you are in for something special. The views whilst you drink wine by the fire are spectacular - the cliffs over the bay constantly changed before our eyes as the days drifted by. Such a raw and refreshing environment enjoyed from the cozy log cabin base - highly recommended - we had a ball.

What a divine tranquil sanctuary. After a busy day filming at exquisite locations across Bruny Island, we were delighted to arrive at our beautiful water front accommodation. With extensive views and privacy that transported us into another realm, Cloudy Bay Lagoon Estate provided for so much more than just our practical needs. Wonderful spacious rooms with floor to ceiling windows enabled us to feel as though we could touch the wild adventure of Bruny Island whilst nestled in pure comfort.
This cottage is a real Gem. We stayed for 3 nights then rescheduled our plans so we could return before we left Tasmania. Without a doubt our best experience ever. Quaint, secluded, unique and comfortable. A little slice of heaven we have already decided to return same time next year. 10 / 10

We stayed for two nights in July expecting the house to afford sanctuary and comfort in challenging weather conditions
and it did just that.
The house was well heated and very comfortable in every way. We had friends for dinner and the spacious living, kitchen
and dining areas provided plenty of room for food preparation and entertaining.
The views are panoramic and free of any man-made distractions. Despite some wet weather we were drawn into the
near-pristine outdoors, down the boardwalk to the beach ... ours were the only footprints that day.
Cloudy Bay Lagoon Estate is amazing. Driving down the long private driveway through Tasmanian bushland this luxury home is a hidden gem. The wood heater was going when we arrived warming this large modern home with floor to ceiling views across cloudy bay lagoon, the bush and the far distant peaks of the southern mountains of Tasmania. The living – dining - kitchen space is very well designed. Open plan, but spacious and defined areas. Great for families or larger groups. The focal points for the living space is the magnificent view and the fire with large separate cosy room for watching the giant TV. The kitchen is well equipped, modern and great for a big dinner or lunch party and although there is a dishwasher we didnt use it for water conservation sake and anyway the sink has the best view! There is also a huge deck with undercover outdoor table for warmer months. Five clean and comfortable bedrooms allow for many guests and the layout of the house is roomy enough so you have some privacy and space but it is also easy to close off areas to make a cosy holiday home for a smaller family of four. (There is a laundry, two toilets, two showers and two baths. A smaller one, great for the kids, and a huge bath with outdoor views though I would not dare use that much water) The cleared area around the house was brilliant for our kids to run around spotting wallabies and Black Currawongs as we gathered kindling for the outside fire area and toasted marshmallows. The path down to the lagoon is direct and super easy with a small sandy beach and colorful rocks to wander around and explore. Our kids spotted an echidna as soon as we walked down. The lagoon is very shallow and protected so would be brilliant for kids in the warmer months and at low tide it is easy to wander around looking at soldier crabs and bird life. Its only moments down the road to Cloudy Bay beach if you want a surf beach or super long sandy walk and close also to many bush walking tracks around the south coast. John was an excellent host and made great exploring suggestions and the wood pile was well stocked for keeping the house toasty in these cold winter weeks. It is a treasure. We will definitely come again and bring our friends.
Brilliant spot! Brilliant House! Brilliant. Had a great couple of nights here and recommend it to everyone!
Everything about Cloudy Bay Beach House is amazing!!! The architecturally designed house, spectacular views (not many places in the world where you can watch the waves rolling in with a backdrop of snow capped mountains!), super comfy beds and everything else you could want - all brilliant! My husband and I were fortunate enough to have the front bedroom. We didnt close the blinds at night (no need, totally private) and Ive not seen so many stars before! Waking up to a glorious sunrises - complete with rainbow the first morning - and watching wallabies hopping around the garden from the comfort of our bed was wonderful. All 6 of us agreed we will definitely be back :-)
Our week at the Bruny Island Lodge, in conjunction with Festival of Voices mentor-collaboration program titled "One Eye on the Stranger" was other-worldly. The accommodation and other spaces was beautifully considered and luxuriously comfortable. The surrounds are truly a pocket of paradise and the staff were friendly and very hospitable. The group of visiting musicians, from all over Australia, were sad to leave but have some very special memories and I cant imagine another place would have created this unique and treasured experience.

Some friends invited all of their closest loved ones to stay for a couple of nights and celebrate their nuptials in this beautiful wonderland! And the management team go above and beyond to make it an exceptional experience. Everyone had such a great time that we didn't want to leave. On top of the impressively decorated cabins, and beautiful scenery, there is so much wildlife! We even got to see a whale in the bay after the ceremony! I can't recommend this place enough!
Just before Easter we hosted our first wedding @brunyretreats on what could only be described as a perfect autumn day. We look forward to hosting some more boutique weddings down on south #brunyisland in the future. The old shack over looking Mickey's Bay was a perfect spot for an intimate wedding.

Cosy cabin with a beautiful untouched coastline, what more could you want ? Long drive in but worth it. Cosy cabin, warm fire and amazing views. Icy ocean that makes you feel alive, a must do. Great if you want no noise and a relaxing break away.
Beautiful secluded cottage. Outstanding experience. The cottage is beautifully set deep in lush forest with only the sounds of nature to wake you in the morning. I stayed there for two nights with my wife and we could not have been happier. A wonderful place and we will be back. The communication prior to our trip was excellent, our host made sure that we would have the perfect stay.
The perfect place for a Getaway , Excellent accommodation ,The panoramic views from the house are incredible
We had a weekend family get together, three couples . We all described Cloudy Bay Villas as the perfect place for a weekend getaway or a relaxing week or two. The house has been fitted out superbly with no expense spared ,three large bedrooms all with fantastic views, great kitchen, dining and entertaining area all with I must say again a panoramic view which has to be seen to be believed. If you're looking for a private and extremely well appointed accommodation for any of the mentioned above this place should be on the top of your list to experience, we have and will again.
Exceptional. My husband and I booked to stay at the Cloudy Bay Beach House for a portion of our honeymoon. It was such a breeze to book, and we were given easy to follow instructions for accessing this isolated property. On arrival we instantly decided we did not want to leave this house as it had such a beautiful outlook over Cloudy Bay with a living space that maximised the natural beauty of the area with massive windows. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with quality easy to use appliances and plenty of cookware, crockery etc. All amenities were excellent. We found as we explored the house that there were plenty of jackets, hats, umbrellas etc stashed around the place which was a nice touch for those who may come unprepared. With the beach only a 5 minute walk down a board walk we did not run out of places to explore whilst staying at the Cloudy Bay Beach House. We only managed to book this beautiful house for 2 nights but have already come up with multiple plans to ensure we can return...
Location location..... Pristine wilderness. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Relaxed, comfortable accommodation with the most spectacular views. Amongst the most beautiful wilderness possible. Was just a stone’s throw away from Cloudy Bay Beach. Peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. The most amazing view of Cloudy Bay. Accommodation isn't fancy but is very comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen. We couldn't BELIEVE the location when we arrived. We will be back again for sure.
Highly Recommend (wow factor). This property is suited for romantic getaways, families and group couples with children or the weekend getaway nature lovers. On arrival you become encapsulated in the beauty of the property and its location. The scenery is enough to relax with the rolling ocean and expansive coastline visibly from every room. The house is fitted out with fascinating and interesting furnishings while still offering comfort and practicability. I would go so far as to say its luxury but with an affordable price. With great heating and more than comfortable bedrooms each with their on-suite’s that are clean and well maintained it was an absolute pleasure to stay at this property. The property has ample parking and offers privacy. It is well situated from the beach so you can watch the surfers or take a walk and join them. The house itself exceeded my expectations and had all and more utilities than I required. It is amazing. I highly recommended this property. Happy adventures!
What a beautiful place. So peaceful to hang out with the Wallabies. We all loved it, Thanks!
