Gracing the shores of Little Taylors Bay is a fisherman’s cottage with a twist, commonly known as the round house because of its unique design features. Taylors Cottage looks out towards Huon Island and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Here, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the tranquil waters of Little Taylors Bay, just as the great explorer Baudin and the crews of the Geographie and the Naturaliste did in 1802.
This unique waterfront cottage situated on the shores of Little Taylors Bay is suited for groups of up to 4 people. The open design of the cottage allows grand views of Little Taylors Bay from the open-plan kitchen and lounge room.
The cottage features a well-appointed kitchen. Guests may enjoy meals or refreshments at the indoor/outdoor tables and watch the sunset over Little Taylors Bay. The lounge area has a comfortable leather lounge with a wood fireplace for those cooler days and nights.
There are two bedrooms, with beds that can be configured for 4 single beds or one king bed and 2 single beds. There is a single shared bathroom with laundry facilities.
The location is perfect for birdwatching and photographers. Young families enjoy wandering the safe shallow shoreline and exploring the sand flats. Or just curl up and turn pages while the sun sets across the bay. The Cottage is constantly visited by wallabies, pademelons, and other local wildlife.
